Scott and I realized we've been slacking on posting on Beardhammer, so here's a short, but fun post that was prompted by a recent discussion we had this past Wednesday (aka "bro day"). We were taking a little trip down memory lane and talked about music videos we loved from the 80s, even though the songs/artists were terrible. This is the short list we came up with in no particular order:
The Grateful Dead "Touch Of Grey". Although we're not fans of this band and hate stupid hippies, we thought the concept of an all-skeleton band was pretty awesome. That's some Jason & The Argonauts type shit right there.
George Harrison "Got My Mind Set On You". It doesn't get much better than singing taxidermy. I remember seeing this video as a kid and thinking this guy had the coolest house ever. Now that I watch it again, I STILL think that house would rule.
Paul Simon "You Can Call Me Al". Chevy Chase rules. No other explanation needed.
Peter Gabriel "Sledge Hammer". Ok, this song isn't that bad, and he was a whole hell of a lot better than Phil Collins in Genesis. For its time, the animation was mind blowing when this came out. Fun video.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed my first post on Beardhammer. More to come!
